Carissa Paglino is a proud Wanaruah woman, award winning visual artist and graphic designer. Born and raised in Newcastle, Carissa specialises in contemporary Aboriginal graphic design. Using symbols and motifs that are influenced by traditional Aboriginal art her unique style is bold and colourful. Carissa has been commissioned by several local and national health agencies including the Quitline, Cancer Council and the Aboriginal Health and Medical Research Council of NSW. A highlight of her career was designing the Indigenous All Stars jersey for the National Rugby League in 2023.
