Teaching good asthma inhaler techniques

It is important for people to use their inhalers properly to make sure their medicine reaches the lungs effectively.

A spacer is highly recommended when using a puffer, to help get more of the medicine into the lungs.

There are 2 ways to use a puffer and spacer. The 4 breath technique is particularly good for women in later pregnancy, when pressure of the growing baby can make it uncomfortable to breath deeply.

The following videos are designed to assist you with instructing people on how to use their devices.

Women/families can also view these videos (link to others).
