Asthma Inhaler Techniques

Using your inhaler properly is important to make sure the medicine gets into your lungs where it is needed.

A spacer is highly recommended when using a puffer, as it helps to get more of the medicine into your lungs.

There are 2 ways you can use your puffer and spacer. The 4 breath technique is particularly good for women in later pregnancy, when pressure of the growing baby can make it uncomfortable to breath deeply.
